Amy-Lynn woke up on April 24, 2021 after working a nightshift in the ICU. She had been compelled to bring her guitar to work that night to try to bring some hope and comfort to patients battling illness during the pandemic. Little did she know that a coworker had shared a video on social media, which attracted attention from news outlets and online platforms around the world. A bit of light during a dark time simply because she showed up with what she had in her hands to let people know: you are not alone!  Knowing she is not the only nurse that sings, and that there are patients everywhere who need the connection and comfort that music offers, Amy-Lynn was encouraged to continue developing her non-profit initiative, One Reaching Hand.
